We love to celebrate and appreciate the marvellous and audacious, undeniable significant somethings that tug at the heartstrings reminding us of what makes life worth living. Our celebrations often honour what has happened on the outside of things, those easily noticed and appreciated––accomplishments, milestones in life. How unique it is to celebrate what is on the inside.
Jay Pritzker’s decades-long dream lives on through celebrating inner and outer beauty with travel. Park Hyatt Bangkok embodies them both with the first Digital Art Portal––a journey into the imagination where guests can get up close and personal with a buried treasure trove of sorts in one of the world’s incredible original art collections found within a wave of glass and steel in Bangkok’s urban sea, designed by AL_A, the London-based studio founded by Amanda Levete and Bangkok-based Pi Design.

The Digital Portal is a journey into the imagination where guests can tour unique works designed especially for the space by the artists and learn about their inspirations. So meticulously curated, personalised art tours are offered with advance reservations in a museum type of experience that allows them to discover and examine pieces to understand their origin, conceptual development and meaning.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

This is not design. This is not decoration.
This is art.
Sure sophisticated and luxurious interiors are wonderful, but when those interiors meet with renowned artists you’ve crossed into a new frontier of the artistic––a crossroads between optimal, personalisation and intimate memories. Mingle with masterpieces including paintings, sculptures, photographs, and mixed-media pieces, most part of retail-giant Central Group Chirathivat family’s personal art collection who shares the same vision and passion as Jay Pritzker. The impressive international heavy-hitters include Hirotoshi Sawada Studio’s Naga––a striking installation where batons suspend from the ceiling and fall into shapes that resemble a mythical water dragon travelling between the pool and internal waterfall.
The sight of the waterfall can’t help but call to all that is primal and unexplored within. As does many of the great works here from Andreas Gursky to Thai national artists like Chatchai Puipia and Nonthivathn Chandhanaphalin. Water’s wonderful theme seems perfect for the venue, where you’ll find Pagoda Mirage tucked away within the void underneath the staircase of the Ballroom. The piece breathtakingly reveals hundreds of small, conical copper swirls, suspended in just such a way as to evoke the reflection of a pagoda on water.
The Digital Art Tour enables guests to discover the pieces from various world-renowned and local artists while gaining insights into their inspirations. Artistic passions have never been this priceless, peaceful, or accessible, unfolding among the backdrop of the hotel’s dramatic, award-winning architecture and décor made up of sophisticated white, black and gold tones. The palette evokes rare calm in the heart of Bangkok. The visuals at the hotel provide a sensual tranquillity among the artwork where the lighting, materials, space, and texture all work together in a symphony of calm. Subtle hints of local motifs such as the lotus, a symbol of purity, are mini gems waiting to be discovered all around the hotel.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]As a luxurious thrill on your creative journey, enjoy a stay at the Park Hyatt’s Presidential Suite, a gorgeous 381 square-meter penthouse featuring private pools, a spa room, private gym, home theatre and outdoor terrace with stunning views of the city. Alternatively, enjoy a private sanctuary at the spacious Ambassador Suite featuring a 167-square-meter haven from the every day serving up elegance among stunning city views, a living room, private gym, and a kitchen. Packages can include a three-course dinner at the Penthouse Grill and a bottle of Champagne, of course.
The hotel and adjacent luxury shopping mall meld together with a continual loop that merges the plinth and tower. The twisted coil forms a three-dimensional figure eight, an auspicious number in the Chinese culture, and also the symbol of infinity. Drawing on motifs and patterns found in traditional Thai architecture, the eye-catching façade is clad in extruded aluminium tiles adding to the majesty of the exterior.
Did someone say shopping? Yes, please. Art might be your inspiration, but shopping and nightlife at the Central Embassy Mall is your playground. Located in the Bangkok’s heart of the seen-and-be-seen mecca of shopping, business, and entertainment, the hotel crowns the Central Embassy fashion, dining and lifestyle destination. Leave the confines of the pared-back interiors, outdoor terraces and lush gardens with perfect perches for admiring one of Asia’s most electric cities behind to get frazzled in the beautiful chaos that is Bangkok.
With names like Berluti, BottegaVeneta, Boyy, Chanel, Fred Perry, Givenchy, Gucci, John Varvatos you will enjoy bringing home a few fabulous souvenirs for you and your loved ones. No place shops better. Whether you are procuring the wardrobe of your dreams filled with purses-a-plenty and irresistible one-offs, or you are merely into homegrown, high-end labels––every shopper will find their heart’s desire here from vintage to cutting-edge classics and what will be shaping the front pages of fashion magazines tomorrow.
But fashion is just the beginning at this lifestyle venue. Enjoy eating and cooking at Ethai and experience the spirit of Thailand. This is a cherished culinary experience and will find you enjoying the best in regional delicacies and Bangkok’s famous street food. Let yourself unwind with live music at Eathai Café and spend some quality time at Family Workshops offered every weekend.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]After your adventures, enjoy a late-night meal at the Penthouse Bar and Grill at Park Hyatt Bangkok where you’ll indulge in flame-grilled steaks done to perfection. Then enjoy a nightcap at the cocktail bar complete with DJ and an incredibly trendy rooftop terrace.
As vision becomes a tradition, there is much to look forward to here. Living up to legendary Thai hospitality and heritage that began in the 19th century when Bangkok’s first real estate mogul, NaiLert, bought the parkland between Phloen Chit Road and Khlong Saen Saep River––luxury is personal at Park Hyatt Bangkok. Once the scene of elegant garden parties hosted by the British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, it is now one of the city’s most Instagrammable hotspots and a place to celebrate all things beautiful.
